How long is a session?

Your session runs for 50 minutes. Should you run late for your appointment, your session will unfortunately be shorter but you will be billed for the entire session.

How many sessions will I need?

The number and frequency of sessions varies according to the individual needs and the type of work.

What is the cancellation procedure?

Cancellations need to be made at least 24 business hours in advance of your appointment or a charge for the full appointment fee will be incurred.

Should you cancel a session, doing so 24 business hours in advance will provide your therapist with the flexibility to use that time productively.

Are my sessions confidential?

The law and my professional ethics ensure that the privacy of all individuals is respected. This means that everything discussed during our sessions will remain private and confidential. This level of confidentiality also extends to therapy with children, and while I understand and appreciate parental concern, I must respect their right to privacy. Please rest assured that I will provide the relevant feedback to you.

There are however, some limits to confidentiality:

  • Should you pose a danger to yourself or others, I am obliged to report this to ensure your safety and the safety of others
  • Should a court of law request information about you, I am obliged to provide it.

Do you do any medico-legal work?

No, unfortunately I do not do any medico-legal work.

Can sessions be conducted over the telephone?

Unfortunately, I do not provide sessions over the telephone. Skype sessions are available to you.

While clients are welcome to send emails, therapy will not be conducted online and these types of emails will not be answered by the therapist. Issues raised on email will be brought up in the next session.
